Who's Richard Cheese, and why does his name amuse me so?

Lounge-jazz satirist. Gives good cover.

I seem to have many of those songs. And Phil Collin's inclusion confuses me. And Ravi Shankar is completely hardcore. And I'm surprised you don't have more QOTSA and 'gurg songs there. And "Something I can never have" could eat my very soul and I wouldn't mind.

..I might mind if it ate my face, though.

Phil Collins, yes - not to mention Billy Joel, Falco, Jet, John Butler Trio, Live, Missy Higgins, Rufus Wainwright, Samantha Fox, Starsailor and Tricky (featuring the singer from Live). I have this scattering of bad songs that are for some reason really entertaining.
Then there are the random sections of heavy heavy metal which I invariably skip over but for some reason never delete.

I don't get mp3s of music which I have on CD, and since I've got all the 'Gurge's full albums and Songs For The Deaf that doesn't leave much.

Ah, ok that's fair enough then. I understand the bad songs thing, I have (and will) never let anyone see what's actually on my playlist.

I dunno, Rated R is a pretty good album.

One day, grasshopper, you will learn to cast off the shame and delight in your true absurdity.

Aside from Lost Art, I've heard Feel Good Hit Of The Summer and Monster In The Parasol (when they were out on the radio) from Rated R. Neither of them grabbed me much.

Yeah, I don't like them a whole lot either. Try In the Fade and Auto Pilot.

He did. I played that for six months or so. It got old in the end, always more of the same, but it was fun for a while. A great marketing tool, too.
